CAPTAIN JON AND CHEF/MATE KAIT BELLEMARE
Captain Jon is an “old-salt” at heart, growing up off the coast of Maine and New Hampshire working in the marine industry. He is a fully documented and certified Captain, with a RYA (Royal Yachting Association) Yachtmaster Offshore (200T). In addition, he also has a USCG (US Coast Guard) 100T Near Coastal Masters License. Captain Jon has 10 years of experience as a professional mariner, and over 30,000 nautical miles under his belt, ranging from the farthest points of the Caribbean to the most northern points of the US.
Captain Jon’s contagious enthusiasm and immense sailing knowledge help to create a one-of-a-kind charter experience. He strives for each and every guest onboard to feel safe while providing a fun and relaxed environment.
Kait was raised in Kennebunkport, Maine. Similar to Jon, she spent most of her summers sailing the New England coast with family and developed a great love for the ocean. Kait began her culinary career when she became full-time nanny in Denver, Colorado. When Jon and Kait met in 2013, she decided to continue enhancing her culinary skills while joining Jon in the charter industry.
Kait’s ability to provide guests with a luxury experience without the fuss is reflective of her own Maine roots. She provides custom menus made from locally sourced fresh foods that are prepared tastefully and to each guest’s preference. She is flexible with a lively and outgoing personality.
Captain Jon and Chef Kait married in 2015 and have continued sharing their passion and love of the ocean with others through working in the charter industry. Together with their additional crew they make an ideal team.

It was absolutely amazing. I mean, gosh. I don’t know where to start. Thank you for recommending this boat and all of your wonderful support. We were expecting great things and we got exceptional. The crew are unbelievable. The four of them worked together seamlessly. We had quite the age range onboard and let me tell you, everyone was doing different things at different times and the crew were always one step ahead. The yacht is fabulous and of course they have everything onboard you would ever want and more but let me tell you…it was all about the crew. I’m trying to think about each amazing thing I can tell you but there are too many. The entire experience was a dream."
Our Amazing BVI Adventure was truly a “once in a lifetime” experience! The boat was perfect and offered a wide range of water sports to accommodate all eight of us and allowed us to adapt to the great diversity of our needs, as we motored and sailed through the BVI’s. With all the creature comforts and activities offered, the highlight of the trip was the gracious and professional crew! One of our trip goals was diving in the BVI’s. The Captain, certified dive master, crafted excellent dive plans that gave us the opportunity to fully experience the variety of underwater life all around the reefs. He was knowledgeable of reef life and was able to point out the many different highlights of the various creatures, plus the unique features of each dive site, like sunken ships, geographic anomalies, and current dive conditions. For those on the boat that were not divers, The captain created opportunities to snorkel, paddle board, or use the water scooters. Another highlight of the trip was the phenomenal chef. Everyone savored the many delicious meals. The meals and snacks could not be resisted. The crew made the experience. Always focused on safety and making each experience unique and memorable. This experience can only be described as FANTASTIC!!! What a wonderful time. You two were great. Enjoyed very much. Thank you so much.
