  CAPTAIN MARTIN

  Captain Martin’s connection to the sea runs deep, having spent much of his childhood exploring vibrant rock pools and fishing from the rocks along Southern Africa’s coastline. These early experiences sparked a fascination with marine life and nurtured a lifelong love for the ocean.
  This passion for nature extended to the forests of South Africa, where he spent time hiking, camping, and discovering hidden corners of the wilderness. These adventures shaped his appreciation for the outdoors and laid the groundwork for a life filled with exploration and adventure.
  Martin’s path into sailing began in his teenage years, with dinghy sailing introducing him to the skills and thrills of being on the water. Over time, his maritime career evolved to include crewing on sailing trips that were not only for leisure but also research-driven, focusing on white sharks and marine ecosystems. He later gained valuable experience working on diving boats, further broadening his understanding of ocean environments and the diverse life forms that inhabit the waters beneath the waves.

  His time in the tasting rooms of South Africa’s Western Cape wine farms also added another dimension to his skills. There, Martin developed a solid knowledge of fine wines and enjoyed engaging with visitors, making it a natural transition to hosting guests in his current role.
  On board, Martin takes pride in sharing his knowledge and ensuring guests feel at ease. Whether he’s explaining the boat’s navigational instruments, recounting stories of his adventures, or helping guests discover new activities like fishing, hiking the islands, or simply relaxing in a secluded bay, he aims to create an experience tailored to everyone’s interests.
  Martin’s blend of maritime expertise, love for the outdoors, and easy-going nature ensures a comfortable and enjoyable time on the water for all who sail with him.

  CHEF JUSTINE

  Justine is a dynamic and innovative chef. Having her culinary roots set in South Africa and the growth of her culinary journey fed by her time in the Caribbean, she has grown a love for not only vibrant flavours but also for sustainable cooking. She prioritises quality produce and sourcing the best possible ingredients for her cooking. This, mixed with her passion for nutrition and support for ethical culinary and production practices, makes for an all-around, down-to-earth, and luxurious gastronomical experience that is not only rich in nourishment but rich in soul.

  STEWARDESS/DECKHAND TAYLA

  Tayla Britts is a passionate South African stewardess, divemaster, and water sports instructor who loves exploring the ocean’s wonders. With a keen eye for detail and a warm personality, she enjoys creating unforgettable experiences for guests, from stunning tablescapes to craft cocktails. Aside from her love for the sea, Tayla is an avid adventure seeker, with interests in snowboarding, surfing, and hiking.   My husband and I were blown away by the hospitality and care of the crew on SeaHome! Everyone went the extra mile all week long from our safety to the most delicious meals, drinks and entertainment! Their work ethic and relational skills were off the charts!

  Seamless Trip

  The crew was exemplary. They were very friendly, happy, professional, interactive and a keen sense to our needs. Their work was seamless. We had a great captain... voiced his commands respectfully and precisely. He provided the dinghy which allowed us our water sports. We played (doing something special each day... water skiing, tubing, wake boarding, hobbie cat, paddle boarded) and snorkeled every day. The Baths were awesome as always. Every place they took us was fabulous. The chef filled our tummies with three full meals a day and everyone enjoyed every meal. It's hard to believe she could make us all happy while cooking all day long for 10 of us. The food was excellent. She also set up reservations where and when we needed them. Excellent, excellent, creative meals. We had everything we wanted. The changed center pieces with each dinner were remarkable... warm and inviting.
  
  The boat was clean and well maintained. They took great pride in offering us a gorgeous vessel. The crew cleaned our cabins daily and provided a linen change mid trip. Everything worked as it should.
  
  SO... on to Liam! Oh my, oh my did they ever make it a memorable trip for Liam. Liam had a great time. He was presented upon embarkation, a treasure challange. On the scroll it had several things to complete before the end of the trip...He was so excited..... tying knots, sailing a hobbie cat, feeding the Tarpin, water skiing , drawing a picture of a couple things, helping the chef make brownies for dessert one night..... he played chess with the crew, he and the captain tested many chocolate chips for the brownies, the crew taught him about the sails on Seahome and let him captain the wheel. He loved the snorkeling and the tube... all the places we went. Extra cuddle time with Mommy and Daddy. He jumped off the boat, he helped serve the meals... It could have not been better for him. On the last night on the boat , the crew presented Liam with a certificate of completion and a case that contained the treasure... all kinds of dinosaur things, candy,..... he was very excited . We all were very touched. He cried because he didn't want to go home. The crew also gave us a card and a flash drive of all the pictures he had taken of us throughout the week. Awesome.
  
  I could go on and on, Hadley. Suffice it to say we all had a marvelous, happy time . One we will all keep close in our hearts forever. As you had suspected ... it all ended with many, many hugs, exchange of info and invites to come visit. As for your involvement, [...].

  Perfect Boat

  Seahome was the perfect place for us and 3 bestie couples! The boat was beautiful and spacious. The chef took care of our every need. We mad amazing memories on Seahome and will definitely be returning. Thanks for de-stressing us for a week!

  Most Memorable!

  The trip was one of the most memorable we have experienced and was made even more so due the wonderful crew that to us felt like family. They were so unbelievable that they made it very difficult to get off the boat!!! Again the 3 of them are consummate professionals and we feel as though we have added 3 new members to our family! They are welcome at our house anytime and hopefully they find it in their adventures to make it to Southern California.

  Everything About This Trip Was Perfect

  Every single thing about our trip was perfect. The Seahome was beautiful the crew was clearly the best crew at sea! The smallest details to the biggest were taken care of along the way. There was plenty of space for our family to be together and to find relaxing space. The captain kept us well entertained... paddle boards, tubing, scuba, snorkel, cliff jumping, sunset sailing, hiking, playing at secluded beaches, dingy rides, hammock chairs, fishing. He took us to the most amazing places and gave us a sense of calm confidence that had all of us participating in all of the activities.
  The chef’s ability and dedication to creating magical ambiance for EACH meal (3x per day) was unreal.  Chef... where to begin? From my morning to coffee to our evening meal his abilities are astounding! Not only is his food melt in your mouth delicious but his plating techniques are beyond impressive. I could not have been more impressed with the culinary experience. It was truly Michelin level. Absolutely perfect! The only bad part was leaving and the ugly cry I had.

  Awe Inspiring

  We thought it was going to be cool to have someone prepare meals for us on this trip. We assumed it be a deckhand that knew some kitchen things. Never could we have expected the world class experience you gave us. Your food was beyond amazing, but you already know that. What you might not know is how awe-inspiring you are to all of us. The passion you have for your craft is generally reserved for the finest artists. You are one of those artists. Each meal was an experience and a show. Oh and the most delicious food we've ever consumed. Beyond that, you literally have changed all of our lives. The confidence my son has because of your care and effort will positively impact him for years, and his happiness is our happiness. Thank you for caring Thank you for sharing your art with us. Thank you for giving us a joy we will never forget.
