  CAPTAIN ANDY

  Andy’s lifelong passion for the ocean began with surfing, which led him to a career on the water. As a former junior professional surfer, I’ve traveled the world searching for the perfect wave and still love to chase swells when I can. With 7 years of experience as a charter captain of catamarans in the Caribbean, Andy enjoys showing guests the beauty of the ocean, whether it’s finding the perfect snorkeling spot or reeling in a big catch. Before becoming a charter captain, Andy started his maritime career as a delivery captain, crossing the Indian and Atlantic Oceans. This extensive experience has shaped his approach to navigation and adventure at sea. Off the water, he is passionate about Japanese carpentry and enjoys building furniture, a craft that mirrors his patience and precision on the water.

  With a love for the sea, a wealth of sailing experience, and a desire to create unforgettable experiences, Andy looks forward to making your charter one to remember.

  CHEF ELAINE

  Elaine Draguet grew up in Marbella, a seaside town in southern Spain. Her father is a captain and does sailing day charters in the Mediterranean, so she has always been connected to the sea and loves to be surrounded by water.
  She studied Gastronomy and Culinary Arts at the Basque Culinary Center in the Basque Country, the heart of Spanish gastronomy, a university founded by Spain’s most renowned chefs and considered one of the best culinary schools in Europe.
  During those four years of training, she also did internships in different types of restaurants. Monkey Club in Puente Romano (Marbella), Agriculture in Stockholm (1 Michelin star), Skina (2 Michelin stars), Baest in Copenhagen, etc.
  Her love for the sea made her complete the necessary training to become a boat chef with the idea of working on a boat like her father.
  An adventurer and traveler, the fact that she comes from a Belgian, Spanish, and American family and her international background make her an affable person who is open to investigating new culinary options from anywhere else in the world. She has already done so in the Mediterranean, around Croatia, Albania, and Montenegro, and is now looking forward to welcoming and delighting customers in the British Virgin Islands.

  STEWARDESS BRENDA

  Born in Brazil, Brenda moved to St Kitts & Nevis when she was 6 years old. With a childhood spent in the beauty of the Caribbean, she instantly grew a passion for being out on the water & in the outdoors. This has transitioned into Brenda’s adult life, as now life is centered around being on the water, paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming, snorkeling, you name it. Brenda also enjoys staying active & exercises regularly. Living in different countries throughout the years & and traveling extensively in her personal time as well as for work has given her insight into other cultures & the chance to meet so many new people. This has taught her great communication skills and the ability to build strong bonds in her work and daily life. Brenda is very outgoing and loves working as part of a team. She is also very capable of working on her own and taking initiative.

  Nothing Short Of Outstanding!

  We are writing this letter to express our deepest gratitude and appreciation for the exceptional service and experience provided to us by the crew of Jan's Felion on our recent charter. Our experience was nothing short of outstanding, and we were thoroughly impressed with the professionalism, expertise and attention to detail demonstrated by the crew. From the moment we stepped on board, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine enthusiasm for ensuring our enjoyment and comfort throughout the charter. We wanted to give you some detail about our experience with each of the crew.
  
  We had an outstanding first steward. Her knowledge of hospitality and her ability to anticipate our needs was impressive. Whether it was ensuring our cabin was always tidy or providing anything we needed. Not only was she highly professional, but also had a delightful and outgoing demeanor that made our time on board even more enjoyable. She showed genuine care for our well being at all times and created a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere every single day. Her expertise in mixology in creating delicious cocktails was impressive. We looked forward to each evening as she beautifully set our table for each of our dinners.
  
  Our chef was great! From the very first bite, it was clear that we were in for a treat. His culinary creations were nothing short of extraordinary and each meal was a delightful journey of flavors and textures. The attention to detail in every dish was impeccable, and we were consistently amazed by his ability to create such wonderful dining experiences with the freshest ingredients. Beyond his culinary skills, he was also such a pleasure to have on board. His talent, professionalism and dedication to his craft were truly exceptional.
  
  Last, but not least was our captain. He was the ultimate professional throughout the entire trip. His expertise and knowledge in navigating the waters and handling the vessel, maneuvering the boat in various conditions, ensuring a smooth and safe journey while making sure we had the most fun. He always selected the best anchorages and ways to make the best of every single day of our journey. He was committed to providing the highest level of service and creating the most memorable experience for us.
  
  Please extend our heartfelt thanks to each member of the crew for their outstanding service and for making our charter an unforgettable experience.

  We’d Love To Do It Again!

  We cannot imagine a better vacation than our time on Jan's FeLion, The boat was a great fit for us. The crew keeps it in meticulous shape. Our cabins were awesome and were kept them in tip-top shape. We mainly lived outdoors, dined outdoors, sunned, made the crossing on the bridge. It was spectacular!
  We all love to cook and initially were disappointed that we wouldn't be in the galley. That disappointment passed after the chef prepared our first meal. Chartering with a chef is seamless. The preference materials that you complete are your only responsibility. You don't have to plan meals, provision, worry about proper storage, forgetting something -- no worries, the crew handles everything. He is a skilled chef and simply a good guy with an easy nature. Every meal a treat. The crew is so service-hearted and gracious. They were always at the ready with coffee, cocktails, water toys. They learned our preferences and anticipated our needs. What a great smiles and laughs. Captain is an ace. He has confidence and obvious skill. One is instantly at ease knowing that he will be running the show and handling all the decisions on the crossings, the moorings, anchoring, dinghy trips, fresh water and all. He communicated clearly regarding our itinerary, careful to consider our desires and kept us on a wonderful schedule. He also shared a couple of his favorite hikes with us. We loved being on shore and learning from him.
  As in life, it is about relationships. The best part of our trip -- not the stellar boat and accommodations, not the delicious food and beverages, not the carefree adventure, not the glorious Caribbean islands with picturesque mountains, flora and fauna and crystal-clear turquoise and deep blue waters, not the adorable island stops and watering holes. Hands down, it was the crew! We loved the blessing of getting to know them a little and sharing the week with them.
  After a couple of tough years of healthcare challenges, this charter was balm to our souls. We'd love to do it again. And again. And again!
  Thanks to you for guiding us through all the planning and preparation. Everything exceeded our expectations!

  Our Family’s Cherished Memories

  We have just returned from the family holiday of a lifetime aboard Jan’s Felion. My husband and and I and our 3 children aged 15, 14 and 12 loved every minute! We are a well travelled family and have experienced some beautiful 5 star hotels together in great locations but what set this experience apart was the combination of the beautiful boat itself which was SO comfortable and spacious, the incredible team and outstanding food and warm hospitality and the fact that you experience new and exciting islands and adventures in the BVI each day of your 7 days on board, no two days are the same! From the minute we boarded in Tortola and tasted the chef’s delicious ceviche for lunch and the captain took us through a suggested itinerary for our week we knew we were in for a very special time. My husband and kids scuba dive and they arranged a beautiful spot for them to dive and for me to spend the afternoon (complete with wonderful pool loungers and a gorgeous boutique for shopping!). Our kids love wake boarding and the captain took them out on long excursions behind the tender. We explored pristine gorgeous bays and had super fun days enjoying delicious cocktails at beach bars. A stand out day for me was the day we hired a Moke and scooter and explored the beautiful island of Anegada. We enjoyed a day of beautiful snorkelling and the beach, fun island exploration and ended the day sun-kissed and happy having an amazing Lobster dinner with our Jan’s Felion family at Sam’s restaurant where we all competed in a limbo competition and danced the night away! The Jan’s Felion team
  helped us create memories that our family will cherish always.

  We Loved Every Minute

  This was the BEST vacation we have EVER had! The captain was so nice and super professional. He is a very experienced sailor with great knowledge. He is supremely professional and knowledgeable. He also helped out with the chef in the galley all the time. It was a team effort and they all seem to have gotten along well. The chef: Sooo impressed with her cooking skills and the fact she is self-taught. Amazing!!! Every single meal was AMAZING! We went to stay at Little Dix after the charter and missed her food the most. We are foodies and were blown away with the talent she has. We were surprised at the quality of food as well. The breads and cheeses were so impressive too! Couldn’t believe she found such excellent quality cheese on the islands. She should have her own cooking show or write a cook book… THAT GOOD! The stew was AMAZING as well. We absolutely LOVED her too! She was always helpful with anything and everything. She was the sweetest and we loved having her on board and commented of how well this trio got along and worked very well together. Her cocktails were PERFECT! Not too strong, and not to weak, just right! Very creative and they looked forward to her cocktail of the day. She was truly AMAZING! Enough to invite her to their home anytime she is in their neck of the woods! The toys were amazing. We LOVED the sea scooter. We had the most fun on this. And, we loved the boat too! So impressed. Very spacious and great sitting areas. She was beautiful and we loved every minute on her!

  Our Lives Have Been Forever Changed

  On the 15th day of November, our lives have forever changed! God has blessed us with two amazing people. Six friends started out to sail at sea with you two and now became eight friends! How do we thank you for all you have done for us? The personal tours, amazing food, drinks, etc. The laughter, fun times, early morning breakfasts, fantastic lunches and over the moon dinners. So attentive to every detail. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! When you up in Michigan come stay with us, we’d love to have you both. God bless you both, keep you safe at sea and the wind always be in your sails. Love you kids!

  Plenty Of Activities

  (Review is from crew’s previous yacht) What a great Captain! He was engaged in every aspect of the boat not just driving from spot to spot. And the chef was a great chef and wonderful personality. All of her meals were outstanding in flavor, and the presentation was on point. You will never go hungry with her around. The boat was a very nice motor cat. There was plenty of room on the boat for a party of 6-8. The front of the boat did not have a net which made for a lot more room. All of the chaises and cushions were very soft. The beds were very comfortable with very soft sheets which is very important to us. Our itinerary worked our really well. After breakfast the crew would start the day laying out the map figuring our next stop. We were a little worried that we would not be able to get off the boat much because of the pandemic, but this is not the case. There are several places to get off have a walk, drink, or bite to eat. There were plenty of activities to enjoy on the boat. Our son enjoyed the BOB the most. You have about eight different things to choose from, which is more than enough.

  Jan’s Felion and her crew …how will we survive without you? Its only been one week, but you have raised the bar in all ways. This trip has exceeded all expectations. The boat is meticulously maintained, the food has blown us away every day and night, and the drinks and hospitality has warmed our hearts. The captain took amazing care of us and provided the exact perfect spot and activity for each day. The chef prepared photo ready and delicious dishes at each meal. The stewardess kept our cocktails full and our hearts warmed as she cared to our every want and need. Best week full of family memories!”
