  CAPTAIN LIAM & CHEF/MATE KELSEY

  Born and raised in Western Australia, Liam grew up racing dinghies with his dad before going on to work in surveying and mining engineering. Now a professional captain and ASA-certified sailing instructor, Liam brings a mix of calm confidence, teaching ability, and adventurous spirit to every charter. With years of experience captaining yachts across both the Caribbean and Mediterranean, Liam has an exceptional ability to read the room and create an itinerary tailored to each group, matching their energy. From chilled-out swims and sunset sails to action-packed days of island hopping, snorkel safaris, and dinghy explorations, Liam’s itineraries are designed to suit every group.

  He enjoys sharing his passion with guests, whether that means helping curious sailors get behind the helm, revealing hidden local gems, flying the drone at golden hour, or finding a quiet anchorage for a starlit dinner. When he’s not onboard, Liam is often off exploring new corners of the world, staying active with hikes or enjoying eFoil sessions and occasionally jumping at the chance to join a local regatta too!

  Growing up in California, Kelsey was always drawn to the ocean, adventure, and bringing people together over great food. After a decade in the corporate world, she changed course to pursue her passion for hospitality—and hasn’t looked back. Now, as a yacht chef in the Caribbean, she combines her love of cooking and travel to create unforgettable experiences for guests to relax, connect, and enjoy.

  Kelsey trained at Ashburton Chefs Academy in the UK, refining her skills in contemporary cuisine, and has since cooked aboard luxury charters in the Caribbean and Mediterranean. Her style is elevated yet approachable, focusing on vibrant, well-balanced flavors that showcase the best of international and island-inspired cuisine. Whether it’s a beautifully plated dinner, a laid-back beach barbecue, or a colorful brunch spread, Kelsey takes pride in curating meals that feel special yet effortless.

  When she’s not in the galley, you’ll find her starting the day with a sunrise meditation, sipping coffee with a view, or uncovering hidden gems in each destination. She brings a warm, easygoing energy to life on board, allowing guests to feel right at home. She’s excited to create a dining experience that’s just as incredible as the destinations you’ll explore!

  Amazing Week!

  Thanks for an amazing week!
  Cheryl & I have been here twice before and always said we want to bring the grandkids when they’re old enough to enjoy the trip fully. This was that trip. You two could not have made this trip more special for them and all the rest of us. We had never cruised with a chef before, and the meals were superb — healthy, clean, and very tasty! The captain proved to be a calm, instructive, and totally capable skipper. The kids loved the experience on Elysian and in the water. You two were like a new extension to our family. It was an unforgettable week! Whenever you’re in SoCal, come see us!

  Could Not Have Chosen a Better Crew

  What an amazing week we have had! After doing this trip many times bareboating with friends we are so happy to share this experience with our three children. We could not have chosen a better crew! Captain’s experience and knowledge is incredible and made our week so much better than we could imagine! Chef’s food was not only beautifully plated - every time, but the taste was delicious! So creative and unbelievable that you can create all of it on a boat! Thank you for accommodating our different likes! Along with the many cuisine favors made, the creative drinks were great!

  Superb

  This is our 3rd week spent on a boat in the Virgin Islands. As a result, I feel that we are in a good place to compare this trip to prior experiences. Thank you for your talent, your experience, your kindness, your friendship. Spending time on a boat for a week is an intimate experience. You guys are truly awesome. Captain’s sailing and boating skills were superb. Chef - your culinary talents are phenomenal. We even gave your names to people we met on Necker Island for a future visit to the BVI.
  We are so fortunate to have gotten you guys as our crew. You helped turn a vacation into a life experience. We hope to travel with you guys again in the future!!!

  Excellent

  With this being our first ever sailing experience, we weren’t sure what to expect, but we now have a new standard for travel thanks to the dynamic duo!
  Our time in the BVI could not have gone any smoother without Captain’s expertise and knowledge of the region. We hiked, snorkeled with turtles, sting rays, and starfish, visited local beach bars, and relaxed in the Caribbean sun. We’re forever grateful and impressed by his drone footage and ability to maneuver through the crowds for the best anchor spot.
  Chef hit the ball out of the park with each and every meal that she made. She catered to each of our palates with ease. Olive oil and citrus cake, Mediterranean lamb and chicken, shakshuka, mahi tacos and peanut butter pie were among our favorites. The combination of flavors and textures showed her true skill and passion for crafting incredible meals.
  Our only hope is that they visit us in Nevada to reciprocate their genuine hospitality while we were with them!

  A+!

  Wow! This vacation far exceeded our expectations! From Chef’s incredible cooking to Captain’s endless willingness to make it so fun for the kids, it was perfection. Every day was new and exciting! Y’all executed the tandem vacation perfectly. You two were voted best crew by the group! A few favorite memories from the Everetts: Double tubing with Griffin and Rawson and the grill out thanks for making my birthday special. Connecting boats with all of our friends and all the amazing food.
  Waking up on Weston’s b-day and seeing all of the fun decorations. The delicious morning caramel lattes! The food, the playlists, the expert “captaining” - could not have been better. You two are A+!!

  As Good as it Gets

  We just spent a week on the Elysian in the BVI. We are a family of four with two children – 12 and 16. The week surpassed all expectations and was frankly as good as it gets. The boat is in very good shape, well looked after and superbly kitted out in good taste and with great toys for both in (subwing, scooters etc.) and out (cinema screen etc.) of the water. However, a week on a boat is made or broken by the team onboard. Both Captain and Chef were faultless. Indeed, they are an amazing double act: professional and as engaged (or not) as we wanted them to be on our holiday. All-in great company. Captain put great thought into where to dock each night, how to evade the weather and generally give us a great sailing experience. The food was also phenomenal and the possibly the highlight of the week. It did not stop coming, was always freshly made and no one meal was the same. Chef has a real talent in the kitchen and somehow managed to provide for us despite the challenge of cooking in the galley and providing for our constantly ravenous children. I cannot recommend the two of them enough and we will certainly try to have another spell with them in the future. A lovely couple with an unusually professional attitude mixed with good charm and excellent humour.

  Absolutely Fabulous

  We had an absolutely fabulous time on the Elysian. The crew's  knowledge of the area (including the history) was phenomenal which made for a lovely itinerary. Every place we stopped for the day/night had beautiful views, wonderful water activities, fun bars, and easy access to shore. The boat was very comfortable and both the crew made it even more so with the hospitality they provided. The chef's gluten free cuisine was the best that we've ever had. My daughter Stella, who has celiac disease, commented that this was the first time since she was diagnosed that she could sit down for every meal and not have to strategize around what she could or could not eat. The food was amazing!

  Much Needed R&R

  Thank you for such a memorable, unique, relaxing trip. Everything was beyond amazing - the views, the delicious food, the Baths, paddle boarding, coffee walks on the white sand beaches, massages, bars, restaurants - literally everything was perfect. The greatest indulgence of all was SEVEN whole nights or blissful, uninterrupted SLEEP (+naps!). Although we missed our babies dearly, it was awesome to be able to get some much needed R&R. We can’t wait to bring the kids when they are older. This has been the trip of a lifetime! We are so grateful.

  Enjoyable Holiday

  How does one describe a 100% relaxing and enjoyable holiday? Just an incredible 8 days of gastronomy and cruising/sailing!!! The crew are just incredible folks with the professional touch!
