  CAPTAIN BRAD & CHEF/MATE ZOE

  Brad and Zoe met in Alaska almost nine years ago (for a funny story, ask how!) and have been working on charter vessels, both independently and as a team, since then. They are happiest when on the water, whether it’s fishing or sharing good food and laughter with new and old friends alike. ​Together, Brad and Zoe make an exceptional team—combining his seasoned seamanship and engineering expertise with her artistic culinary flair and warm hospitality. Whether he’s navigating the perfect course or troubleshooting systems at sea, and she’s crafting visually stunning, flavor-forward dishes, their shared love for the water and genuine delight in creating memorable experiences ensure every charter is seamless, safe, and supremely satisfying. Together, they look forward to welcoming you aboard and making each voyage a celebration of adventure, friendship, and exceptional service.

  BRAD – A North Carolina native, Brad grew up sailing with his father in the Pamlico Sound, mastering the family’s 12’ O’Day Widgeon by age ten and later teaching sailing through high school and college. He earned a degree in mechanical engineering from N.C. State University, giving him both technical expertise and the ability to troubleshoot vessel systems with ease.

  Brad’s career has spanned hospitality, engineering, and maritime work—from installing border security systems in Turkmenistan to guiding charter fishing trips in Alaska. With over 40,000 nautical miles logged, including deliveries along the Inside Passage, the Atlantic coast, and throughout the Caribbean, Brad is an accomplished captain who loves sharing his passion for the sea and creating memorable experiences for guests.

  ZOE – Raised in Minnesota’s “Land of 10,000 Lakes,” Zoe has been drawn to the water since childhood, spending summers fishing, canoeing, and enjoying water sports. Her lifelong passion for food began with her very first bite of homemade focaccia, and her fine arts background brings creativity and beauty to every dish she serves.

  After years in her family’s newspaper business, Zoe traded publishing for adventure—driving to Alaska sight unseen. From her first day on a charter fishing boat, she knew she’d found her calling. Since then, she’s worked on vessels from 28’ to 70’, served as Maintenance Director and Captain, guided sport fishing trips, raced yachts, and completed deliveries throughout the Caribbean and U.S.

  Now holding a 100-ton Near Coastal Master License with STCW, Sail, and Assistance Towing endorsements, Zoe blends her love of the sea with her talent in the galley, creating a safe, welcoming, and joy-filled experience for every guest aboard.

  Vacation To Remember

  This has been a vacation to remember! You have been the most gracious, kind, thoughtful, hardworking and fun hosts. You have infected us with your love of sailing and the Virgin Islands, and it will be very hard to return here with anyone else than you. In fact, it is extremely hard to go back to New York without the Michelin Star cuisine, the cocktails, your great company and the considerate itinerary and the attention to EVERY DETAIL. The information we got when booking does not even come close to the five-star experience that awaited us. Fair winds and following seas! Always!

  Inspiring & Fun!

  This trip was so inspiring and fun. We experienced a lot of adventures and learned about sailing through different islands. This was a lifetime experience! The crew were the best and are well appreciated. The food was absolutely delicious and the water sports were incredible. This was our first time on a charter boat and the crew made it a wonderful time.

  Thank you so much for an amazing week! The crew made sure we hit all the right spots all week, and the chef literally crushed the food game. She is incredibly talented!   It's hard to know where to begin, but please sit back and enjoy this note almost as much as we enjoyed our trip with the Dante crew!
  
  Our very first adventure chartering a yacht and this set the standard for all future charters.
  
  From the first call with Captain, about a week before departure, we knew we were in good hands...friendly hands...someone who wanted to make this trip special...and boy did she ever.
  
  We arrived in St. Thomas with a text from Captain that a car had been arranged to take us to the dock.  (Already, things are being taken care of for us).  Then, we met Captain...this happy, warm and caring young individual greeting us with open arms and hugs.  We were instant friends.  We came aboard and met the DELICIOUS Chef...the chef of chefs.  A brief tour, unpacking, and then the start of 6 unbelievable days beginning with special drinks and appetizers.
  
  Our first dinner was 5-star and it only kept getting better and better. Chef managed to make meals that were unique and delicious and beautiful to look at....AND, she navigate around dietary restrictions while managing to serve everyone at the same time.  I gained 8 pounds in 6 days.....I hold Chef deliciously responsible.
  
  Every day brought a new adventure.  Captain guided us through the days activities after breakfast each morning.  We were in capable and creative hands.  Always going someplace interesting.
  
  This was an anniversary cruise and birthday cruise gift for my 75-year-old husband. These two made this a trip we will cherish and never forget.  We are already looking into more charters as long as we can be with this crew, since they are the gold standard and why would we want anyone else.
  
  Thank you all.  I could go on and on with every detail but I think you get the picture.  The Dante crew show is the only show in town.  I'm still smiling (although 8 pounds heavier).

  Unbelievable

  This was our first ever charter and there will never be another one as great as this one. Captain and Chef extraordinaire made this trip unbelievable. Everything worked brilliantly and we cried when we had to leave. You exceeded our every expectation. We will do this again and hope we get this crew again...they LOVE what they do. By the way, we dined ashore one night and it didn't compare to Chef's cooking. WOW WOW WOW!

  Extra Special for Our Children

  We really appreciate the extra touches that both Captain and Chef did to help our trip be extra special for our children. Captain was very hands on showing them all about life on the boat and fun activities for kids. Chef created delicious meals that encouraged our picky eaters to try new foods and eat more vegetables. So grateful we were blessed with these two!
