Quentin Scott’s culinary journey began in his childhood, filled with passion and a curiosity for the science behind food. At the Bahamas Hotel Training College, he dove into an apprenticeship program, developing his skills and gaining recognition for his hard work. His path led him to prestigious hotels in the Bahamas, including Atlantis, and as a Sous Chef at the British Colonial Hilton, where he deepened his understanding of the culinary business.
Seeking broader horizons, Quentin joined the Four Seasons, allowing him to showcase his talent worldwide, from the Bahamas to Ireland and the US. His experiences abroad brought a fresh perspective on using farm-fresh ingredients, inspiring Quentin to elevate his dishes with locally sourced produce. His approach to cooking emphasizes farm-to-table principles, rejuvenating traditional dining experiences with his contemporary and innovative flair.

Kala Pretorius grew up in Stellenbosch, South Africa, fueled by a passion for design and art. Her love for exploration led her to the yachting world. With degrees in Textile and Fashion Design, Kala’s expertise brings an elevated sense of style and meticulous attention to detail to her role as a stewardess. Ambitious and forward-thinking, she aims to rise as a top Chief Stewardess, ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere for everyone on board.
MATE DIAN
Raised in South Africa’s diverse Rustenburg area, Dian has lived everywhere from the coast to the farm and amidst wildlife. This varied lifestyle taught him to adapt easily, a skill he takes everywhere.
Dian ventured into the yachting world in 2015 after a chance encounter with a yacht crew during a backpacking trip. His career has since spanned power and sail yachts from 12 to 80 meters, where he’s held roles that polished his ability to manage any situation with calm and professionalism. Known for his openness, kindness, and positivity, Dian prides himself on keeping the vessel spotless and ensuring every guest feels secure and at ease.
Off-duty, Dian enjoys nature, spending time with animals, camping, or off-roading. He’s driven by a fascination with different cultures, always keen to learn and share his insights.

At the youthful age of 19, Ryan Batt embarked on his yachting journey from the scenic shores of Cape Town. Fast forward three years, his affection for the marine world hasn’t waned. Balancing his responsibilities on deck, Ryan also dedicates time to refining his golf swing and is adventurous, often exploring uncharted destinations. With a steadfast commitment to delivering exceptional service, Ryan consistently seeks ways to go above and beyond for both his crew and the guests he serves.
