  ROTATION CAPTAIN: BRANDON

  Brandon grew up in South Africa, and when school holidays came around, his family would head to the coast where he spent his time on boats and in the ocean. At age 14, he completed his Open Water Diving. From there, he followed his love for diving, which led him to not only get certified as a Divemaster in Sodwana Bay, Mozambique, but he ended up staying on as an Employee and Instructor.

  He has a passion for fishing, spearfishing, and freediving. With an interest in sailing, he joined the charter industry with his brother, and he continued to work as a Chef on board in the British Virgin Islands for half a decade before being offered a Base Manager position in Saint Vincent & the Grenadines.
  The timing was right for him to pursue his biggest dream of becoming a Captain, and he gave up his management position to jump back on board and do what he loves most, exploring the oceans above and below sea level.
  Not only is he a masseuse, but he is also the secret keeper for ‘Brandon’s secret spots’ in the BVI, which he loves to take guests to.

  ROTATION: PIETER

  Pieter grew up on the west coast of South Africa in a small town called Vredenburg, spending weekends and holidays free diving for lobster and abalone, and has had a love for the ocean ever since. After 16 years in the family business, the call of the ocean finally became too strong, so he decided to pursue his love for sailing, diving, and fishing.
  With 5 years in the industry as a Captain, he has set roots in the Caribbean, which he calls home. His first love came way before sailing, and he will forever seek diving as his main passion. As a Divemaster, he is always up for a dive with vast knowledge of the ocean, marine life, and loves educating the next generation. When he isn’t at the helm, he is making Instagram-worthy cocktails, as a mixologist, be sure they always have a drink in your hand.

  CHEF ARNO

  Born with a love for the sea and a passion for flavor, Arno began his career on the water as one of the youngest volunteers at South Africa’s National Sea Rescue Institute. After years working as a charter captain, he followed his heart into the galley—and hasn’t looked back since.
  Now a formally trained chef from the South African Chefs Academy, Arno specializes in fresh, from-scratch dishes that fuse comfort, creativity, and a hint of South African flair. His guests love his warm hospitality just as much as his home-baked breads and vibrant, locally inspired menus.
  Whether catering to dietary needs or surprising guests with traditional delicacies, Arno takes pride in making people feel at home through food.
  Off the clock, you’ll find him road-tripping, fishing, or camping under the stars.

  FIRST MATE HENRY

  Henry is from the West Coast of South Africa, known for being the heart of sailing, and he was introduced to the ocean at a very young age. Besides playing sports like tennis and rugby, he also has a liking for water sports like surfing, bodyboarding, and fishing. Henry got introduced to yachting at the age of 16 through his brother-in-law, a Yacht Captain from Canada. His passion for spending time on the water has been growing ever since.
  He completed his yachting certification on the South African West Coast at the age of 18 and, after working on Superyachts, decided to join the Catamaran industry where he could combine his love for the ocean, watersports, and work his way up to become a Captain.
  With his Day Skipper’s License & Mixology in hand, he will always have the sails up and the drinks to go down!

  Amazing Christmas With Family

  Our first Christmas in The Caribbean! An amazing treat to spent it on board MyTy! We did it all. Diving, seabobing, Efoiling, paddle boarding, wake boarding, snorkeling, kayaking, sailing, gaming, hiking, eating and drinking! What a fabulous way to spend a week with family. This boat and crew made it perfect. They chose the best placing for diving and showed us the beautiful under water world in the BVI. And wow the chef!! Thank you so much for everything!!!

  Awesome, Extraordinary, Sensational, Superb, Terrific, Marvelous.
  Really, there are no words to describe the 5 Star experience of our week’s yacht charter aboard “Super Cat” MYTY.
  
  Capt. , 1st Officer/Engineer, and Chef provided an unforgettable experience, navigating the BVI’s weather & sea’s to maximize our experience.
  Nothing was too much trouble.
  
  Together with the water toys, scuba diving, snorkeling, we hit all the BVI must see sights and then some…. Great off the beaten track hidden bays, away from the crowds, bars and cruise ships.
  
  Capt. led by example (even washing dishes, mopping decks, BBQing) and the crew acted as one.
  They were the perfect crew. There is no doubt, these guys knew everything about the BVI’s!
  
  And, we did some real sailing.
  
  We had the most incredible time.

  Magical

  Thank you for a truly magical seven days of family is endlessly grateful for what flawless trip we have had. An exceptional crew. We feel so lucky. From the delicious food that we will miss dearly to the beautiful water, foil, tricks, boating lessons, putting up with Aaron‘s endless questions, fishing attempts. Sea life escapades, from dolphins to turtles to Squid and goats. This week was perfect and how could I not mention the beach day arrangements, which is a day we will all cherish for a lifetime. Thank you all for everything.

  Unforgettable

  Thanks for an incredible week from the food to the drinks and everything in between. Thanks for teaching me the ropes on the foil regardless of how many battle scars I got in the process it was worth it! Every single aspect was 11 out of 10 and I’m jealous of the next group, that experiences it. Truly appreciate you  all. I won’t forget this week.

  We love you and we loved every minute of our trip on the My Ty. This trip has been on our bucket list and the reality is not one moment of disappointment. Thank you for your phenomenal customer service. We were pampered as if we were celebrities. Thank you for all the extra trouble you went to for our culinary special needs. The food was a true highlight, as well as your shining personalities. You are such a lovely crew. I feel the world is a better place to be with you guys in it. Captain -  we will never forget you and your crew you are exceptional in every way. Thank you doesn’t seem big enough, great gratitude and appreciation for every well thought out detail of our trip.   Captain…always with a smile. Ready to take us on the next adventure. Keeping the dishes clean! Listening intently to Wyatt’s non-stop questions. Playing the perfect music…the Captain and so much more.
  
  Steward…we think there are two of you that we just did not see together. Every system on the boat running perfectly. The water toys are at command. Our staterooms refreshed…how did you do it all?! Most importantly, at the beck and call of Will and Wyatt. They loved all three of you, but we will not hurt anyone else’s feelings by taking a vote!
  
  And finally…Chef. The smiles, the care, and the FOOD! Working around a complicated set of dietary requirements, you made each meal spectacular…while also playing with the boys and so much more.
