  CAPTAIN KYLE & CHEF/MATE JESSICA

  For as long as Kyle can remember, he has longed to live on the sea. To answer the call of the ocean, he and Chef Jessica decided to move to Florida about 8 years ago. Eager to learn about all things boating, he spent every free moment on the nearest available vessel including sailboats, charter yachts, fishing boats, pontoons, and jet skis. During this time, Kyle earned his USCG Master Captain 100 GT license and became an expert in boat maintenance and guest safety.

  Kyle’s fun-loving spirit and easy-going personality are contagious onboard and charter guests often leave his boat with not only an experience of a lifetime and promises to return, but with a genuine new friend. He prides himself on keeping the boat in tip-top shape while ensuring that guests enjoy their dreams’ vacation. Kyle is truly a jack of all trades and you can find him in the engine room keeping everything running smoothly, guiding guests on snorkel trips, hikes, and watersports, or at the bar crafting up a delicious round of homemade cocktails.

  Jessica believes that true happiness is a mindset promoted by surrounding yourself with good people, beautiful scenery, and delicious food. Raised in a family full of phenomenal chefs, Jessica has been cooking since she was tall enough to see over the stove. She is passionate about using locally sourced, fresh ingredients, and bold flavors to create mouthwatering dishes tailored to guests’ preferences. Jessica pours herself into the creation of each dish she serves and shares “the most important ingredient in anything that leaves my galley is the joy I feel when cooking and the genuine care and love I have for the person about to experience my craft.”

  Jessica often refers to herself as a professional student with an insurmountable hunger to learn. In addition to her culinary training, Jessica has received bachelor’s degree in Premedical Biology and Psychology, attended medical school, and received her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. As a licensed therapist, Jessica works with families, couples, and children to realize their overall mental wellness goals. She is also an adjunct faculty member at a Florida State College and teaches several online counseling and psychology courses. When asked about her diverse background, Jessica says “I made a decision long ago to do what I love. I love food, being on the ocean, helping people, and teaching – so that’s what I do!”

  Kyle and Jessica were both born and raised in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains of Virginia and they carry their Southern charm, hospitality, and graciousness like a badge of honor. Like a cliché teenage romance movie, their love story started over 15 years ago in high school as the captains of the football team and cheerleading squad – they have been inseparable ever since.

  Being in and on the water is a major part of their 15-year relationship and they love sharing their passions for the ocean, boating, food, and Caribbean island life with their guests. Both Kyle and Jessica are guest-focused, detail-oriented, and have extremely high standards for their own performance. While guest safety and the well-being of the vessel are always top priorities, Kyle and Jessica know that a successful charter boat relies on a crew with a positive, optimistic, and resourceful mindset.

  Our Chartered Vacation Was Incredible!

  Our chartered vacation was incredible. The crew were absolutely fantastic. From the small details to the new adventures every day, it could not have been a better experience. Ultra was a beautiful boat. Very well maintained, clean, and comfortable for everyone on the trip. The food was BEYOND our expectations! The chef is an incredible chef. The food was exquisite, the presentation was beautiful, and every day the menu was completely different. She was able to accommodate all of our dietary restrictions and made everyone feel special. Our Captain, went above and beyond to ensure we were having an amazing experience. They were extremely attentive to our requests and was very knowledgeable. Every aspect of the trip was planned out and there wasn’t a detail that was overlooked. It was my husband’s birthday, and they made sure it was a special and memorable one. I cannot speak highly enough about the crew. They are a great team.”

  Breathtaking

  
  Ultra was a beautiful yacht. Very well maintained, clean, and comfortable for everyone on the trip. Cabins were cleaned daily, sheet and towels changed midweek.
  
  
  We went snorkeling several times on the trip. The equipment was perfect for our needs. The BVI's are breathtaking!
  
  
  The food was BEYOND our expectations! The chef is incredible. The food was exquisite, the presentation was beautiful, and every day the menu was completely different. The chef was extremely attentive to our requests, and was very knowledgeable. Every aspect of the trip was planned out and there wasn't a detail that was overlooked.   We feel completely relaxed and refreshed! The pace and the itinerary were absolutely perfect! Every day was a new and different adventure. The BVI is so beautiful, and they put together the perfect itinerary so that we could experience a different island every single day.

  Where to begin? I suppose we'd first like to thank the crew. You two delivered an experience we will carry with us the rest of our lives. Not only did we enjoy first class treatment, but we also enjoyed your company, and we have made a special friendship with you both. I think we will see each other again. This was such a special trip, it's difficult to properly put it into words. The music, the water, the views, the breeze!!

  Exceptional Vacation

  We had an amazing family vacation on Ultra and we cannot recommend the crew enough. They took us to beautiful spots for snorkeling and hiking (not that we wanted to leave the boat) and out to some stunning beaches. The boat is new and extremely well equipped. We especially enjoyed the floating dock that we could use at the floating taco bar. No need to wait for a table! The chef is super organized and a sensational chef. Truly an all around exceptional vacation!

  Had the absolute best time on Ultra for a family vacation! First of all, the crew are such kind people that you can’t help but like! Second, they went above and beyond our expectations. They took us to the most beautiful places, gave us great activities, made amazing drinks, and the food… holy cow the food- some of the best food we have ever had.   Absolutely Wonderful

  I've never taken a trip like this, so didn't know what to expect, but it was absolutely wonderful! The boat was fantastic, The Virgin Islands are an amazing place to spend a vacation ... but I must say that the crew were hands-down what made the week truly special. Their knowledge and expertise were matched by their gracious hospitality, fun sense of humor, and kind hearts. And they are sensational cooks, as well! I enjoyed every bit of this trip, and they were a big part of it all.

  5th Trip With This Crew

  This was our 5th trip with this crew. Our first 4 trips were on their previous boat. We loved it but their new boat is even more spectacular!! We highly recommend chartering with them. Captain’s knowledge of the area and of boating is excellent. Chef’s meals are better than any restaurant in the islands. Everything she serves is fabulous. Everyone is always sad when our trip comes to an end. We will definitely book trip #6 with them. Do yourself a favorite and book this trip of a lifetime

  Can’t Brag Enough

  It was a trip of a lifetime! We can not ‘brag’ enough about their expertise in their jobs. The captain was an experienced & informative & entertaining. The chef’s meals were always beautifully displayed and every, meal (or snack) was excellent. Both are true professionals! They are a beautiful couple!We were all, apprehensive, about a week on a boat, the boat ,the crew, food?? The boat & crew where truly beyond our expectations!We would highly recommend Ultra and her crew to anyone wanting a trip of a lifetime!

  After Years Of Sailing We Are Converting

  ULTRA is a great boat. Fast from place to place, great layout. Very stable at anchor (who knew a mast raised the center of gravity?). Flybridge is a definite plus - as are the wide open views and extra deck space of the power cat. After years of sailing cats, I’m a convert. The captain is fantastic and a good man. Very flexible, even keeled and always looking for ways to facilitate our good times - dinghy driving, drone flying, beach landing or whatever we needed, he was quick to anticipate. I enjoyed spending time with him. One of our guests broke her clavicle on Anegada and the captain was calm and cool as he zipped us over to Tortola, adjusted our route plan and made sure we barely missed a beat. The chef’s meals were the best we’ve had on charter. Her menu has a ton of variety and each and really fit the day and the time. We had a gluten free passenger - and the chef creatively adjusted each meal so there was no ‘drop off’. We had five under 22’s on our charter, plus a red-eye and four hour time change to kick things off, so getting everybody to the table in the morning was a bit of a challenge. The chef was super flexible (which we really appreciated) and made us all feel well taken care of. The evening sundowners added just the right touch each day.  The crew had a mate on board - who was fun and added a nice twist to the group. What I didn’t appreciate beforehand was how much having a third person helps everything go smoothly (and gives the chef the time/space to work her magic). Given our group size, I wish we’d had a third set of hands on prior trips. In makes a difference.
