Welcome Aboard
About Ad Astra FP 80
I’m thrilled to share my journey sailing for my Cyclades Yacht Charter aboard the stunning Ad Astra Fountaine Pajot 80. Over the course of five days, we explored Serifos, Kythnos, and Kea — three unique islands full of authentic Greek charm, crystal-clear waters, and ancient history. Here's a glimpse into this unforgettable adventure!
The Ad Astra is a spectacular FP 80 luxury catamaran, designed for exceptional comfort, performance, and style on the water. With expansive outdoor areas, a full flybridge, elegant cabins, and five-star service, she offers the perfect platform for sailing the Cyclades in true luxury. From the moment I stepped aboard, I was struck by her sleek design, spacious living spaces, and attention to detail throughout.
Favorite features so far include the oversized flybridge for panoramic views, the spacious aft deck ideal for alfresco dining, and the luxurious accommodations offering a peaceful retreat after a day of exploration.

We departed Poros at 10:00 AM aboard Ad Astra, setting sail toward the rugged beauty of Serifos. While under sail, we enjoyed a delicious lunch on board, surrounded by endless blue waters. Arrival into Serifos was around 4:00 PM, with time to wander the mainland and soak up the island’s authentic charm along with a lively dinner onshore with all seven of our yacht’s guests.
Breakfast was served on board before a sail to Kythnos. We enjoyed a Beach BBQ, a trip to a natural hot springs, and amazing water sports before arriving at Kolona around 4:30 PM. A trip up to Chora had us shopping and eating ice cream. In the evening, we enjoyed dinner on board, followed by some yacht hop parties, capturing the lively spirit of the Cyclades
After breakfast, we sailed toward Kea, arriving around 1:00 PM. Lunch was served on board with panoramic coastal views. The afternoon was spent sightseeing and exploring Kea’s scenic villages. We appreciated the island tours that were arranged for us, allowing us to explore the islands. Dinner ashore provided another delicious taste of authentic Greek flavors.
We started the morning with breakfast on board, then sailed into the breathtaking Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounio. Special permission was obtained to dock our tenders, and the hearty among us hiked up to the Temple. The rest of us enjoyed the water and sunshine on board with beverages and camaraderie. Lunch was served en route to Lavrion, where we arrived at 6:00 PM. The trip concluded with a farewell dinner celebrating an incredible journey through the Cyclades.
After breakfast, we disembarked in Lavrion, concluding a spectacular FAM trip aboard Ad Astra through some of Greece’s most beautiful islands.
Sailing for our Cyclades Yacht Charter aboard Ad Astra was truly an unforgettable experience. Each island — from the rugged beauty of Serifos to the serene beaches of Kythnos and the authentic charm of Kea — offered something new and magical. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to explore this breathtaking part of Greece and can't wait to return for more adventures!

Crew Notes & Favorite Moments
Sailing aboard Ad Astra wouldn’t have been the same without this phenomenal crew. Their professionalism, warmth, and sense of fun elevated every moment of the journey — both on and off the water.
From the moment we stepped aboard, CAPTAIN GEORGE greeted us with a ready smile and a wealth of knowledge about the Greek isles. He was not only calm and confident, but also a delight to learn from — always game for our antics and incredibly generous with his time and stories.
CHEF PANAGIOTIS kept our hearts and stomachs full with dish after dish of soul-soothing cuisine. Every meal was a comforting masterpiece, and the galley felt like the beating heart of the boat.
CHIEF STEW VASSILIKI remembered every preference (including my ice-with-wine habit!) and served us seamlessly, whether on the beach or on deck — always with grace and a smile.
DECK/STEW MARINA quietly kept our rooms spotless and the boat in perfect order. Her calm, professional manner and sharp eye for detail never went unnoticed.
DECKHAND LOUKAS was the first to help us in and out of the water and the last to stop launching the toys. His energy and easygoing nature made every water session more fun and effortless.
And to top it off, Ad Astra’s crew took home two awards at the 2025 EMMYS in Poros — placing 3rd in the Chef Competition and 2nd in the CYBA Designer Water Contest. A huge congratulations to this exceptional team!
