Tucked into the western side of North Sound, Leverick Bay BVI is one of the most reliable all-in-one stops — a small marina village with just about everything a charter day could ask for. Whether you’re after a lively night out, a quiet afternoon by the pool, or a jumping-off point for an Anegada day trip, Leverick Bay delivers. Here’s what to expect.
A Lively Pirate Show

No visit to Leverick Bay is complete without catching Michael “Beans” Gardner’s pirate show, a North Sound tradition for years. Expect costumes, characters, and a healthy dose of theatrical swagger — it’s good fun for guests of all ages, and a great excuse for a night ashore during your charter.
Pool Time with a Marina View

Leverick Bay’s freshwater pool sits right above the marina, with sailboats and the surrounding hills as a backdrop. It’s a great spot to cool off after a morning on the water, grab a drink, and watch the comings and goings of the harbor.
A Stop at the Spa

If you’re after a little pampering mid-charter, Leverick Bay’s spa offers massages and beauty treatments to help you unwind. A great way to break up a few days of sailing with some proper relaxation.
SNUBA: Snorkeling Meets Scuba

For something a bit different, try SNUBA — a hybrid between snorkeling and scuba diving that lets you explore underwater without certification or heavy gear. Air is supplied through a long hose connected to a raft on the surface, so you can dive a bit deeper and stay down longer than snorkeling alone allows, all while keeping things simple and approachable.
A Tender Trip to Anegada

Leverick Bay makes a great launch point for a day trip out to Anegada, BVI’s flattest and most remote island, often reached by tender rather than the full yacht. One of the highlights along the way is Conch Mountain — a striking, decades-old pile of conch shells discarded by local fishermen, now a quirky photo stop and a great reminder of how central conch fishing has been to life in the BVI.
CAUTION: Local knowledge or guide is a must for this with a very large tender.
Evenings at Leverick Bay

As the sun goes down, Leverick Bay’s marina and pool light up, and the restaurants and bars fill in with charter guests and locals alike. It’s a great spot for a relaxed dinner ashore or simply a drink while you watch the boats settle in for the night.
Leverick Bay BVI is an easy, flexible addition to any North Sound charter itinerary — equal parts entertainment, relaxation, and adventure. Let your captain know if you’d like to build it into your route.

WOW...what an unforgettable 8 days in the British Virgin Islands! Our group of seven had the absolute best time aboard the Awatea catamaran! The crew were wonderful hosts and so accommodating. They really are true professionals and enjoy taking care of their guests.
Every day felt like a postcard—turquoise water, hidden coves, incredible snorkeling, beach bars, island hopping, and sunsets that didn't even look real. We swam with sea turtles, ate like we were in a fine dining establishment, laughed until our stomachs hurt, soaked up the sunshine, and made memories we'll be talking about for years.
The catamaran was beautiful, comfortable, and had plenty of space for all of us to spread out, relax, or hang out together. I loved the sustainability efforts with the fresh herbs and solar panels, and nothing went to waste. There was never a dull moment, but it was also the perfect place to kick back with a drink and enjoy the amazing views. There was Wi-Fi available, if we needed it. This allowed us to keep in contact with our loved ones back home and to share the experiences in real time.
One of the unexpected highlights was having front row seats to the 2026 BVI Spring Regatta & Sailing Festival. I had never experienced something like this before and it took my breath away.
The best part was being able to unplug and enjoy the experience. Every day brought a new island, another amazing place to explore, see and do new things some of us had never done. Every stop seemed better than the last, and the entire experience was seamless from beginning to end.
If you're even thinking about chartering a catamaran in the BVI—DO IT with Awatea! It's the perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and nonstop fun. This wasn't just a vacation; it was one of the best experiences we've ever had. Easy 5 stars, and we will always remember this amazing trip!

There were eight of us on this trip and we definitely came ready to have fun. The crew managed our group like total pros attentive, upbeat, and always one step ahead. The yacht was spotless and beautifully put together.
We tried so many new water activities and had amazing instructors guiding us through everything. It never felt rushed or intimidating. What really stood out was how smoothly the entire trip was organized. Every time we headed to a beach bar or needed a taxi, the crew personally introduced us and made sure we were taken care of. We never had to think — just relax and enjoy.
